« Back to Island County Fair 2008
Dog agility is a relatively new event for 4-H in Island County, and one that requires a great deal of cooperation from the dogs in the project. Under the best of circumstances, the event relies on a sense of trust on the part of the dogs...that their human companions will direct them in appropriate ways. Add in the stress of competition, a little summer heat (unfamiliar to children in the Pacific Northwest), sleep deprivation, and a sugary diet, and well, things can get a little intense for all involved, especially the dogs. Remember, they are often restrained by collars and leads whereas the kids are not :). Yet look at how well this beauty lept across the bar!
